Job summary

Euro-Projects Recruitment Ltd is seeking a proven Project Design Engineer with both mechanical and electrical experience to join a growing manufacturer delivering high-value equipment. The role combines CAD desk work with hands-on testing and assembly.

You will design mechanical components and assemblies in Solidworks, coordinate PCB layouts, build prototypes, and select cost-effective materials. The position offers a flexible, design- and test-heavy workload with opportunities for progression

Qualifications

• A proven Engineer with both mechanical and electrical projects experience.
• Comfortable with mechanical CAD design (Solidworks) and based circuit designs.
• Wider experience supporting projects from concept through to design.
• PCB Design would be advantageous, but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical components and assemblies using CAD (Solidworks).
• Design and support electrical/electronic subsystems (PCB layout coordination, wiring harnesses, sensors etc).
• Build and test prototypes.
• Select components and materials based on cost, manufacturability, and performance.
• Create and maintain BOMs, drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.

Project Design Engineer

Opportunity for a proven Project Design Engineer with both mechanical and electrical experience.

Electromechanical position that will see you support with both design and build / testing of equipment.

Good mix of CAD desk work and hands on testing / assembly.

Salary & Package

c£45,000 to £50,000 as a guide + 25 days holiday + banks. Wider development opportunities.

This Project Design Engineer job will suit:

• A proven Engineer with both mechanical and electrical projects experience.
• Comfortable with mechanical CAD design (Solidworks) and based circuit designs.

• Flexible in nature, sometimes the role will be heavily design focused, other stages of the project will require more hands-on support with regards to testing, assembly etc.
