We're looking for an experienced Project Delivery Manager to take ownership of the practical delivery of projects across the UK.
This isn't a traditional Project Manager role where you'll spend your days behind a desk. We're looking for someone who enjoys being close to the action, understands what it takes to deliver work successfully on site and is confident taking ownership when things don't go to plan.
You'll typically spend 2-3 days per week on the road visiting sites and 2-3 days in the office, working closely with the wider project team, customers, engineers, contractors and subcontractors to make sure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required standard.
The projects combine both construction and technical engineering, including elements such as groundworks, installation and infrastructure alongside technical systems such as CCTV, access control, security systems and associated technology.
We're particularly interested in people with a background in telecoms, electronic security, infrastructure, construction or another technical field-delivery environment, who understand both the practical and technical challenges involved in delivering projects.
Once projects move into execution, you'll take ownership of delivery in the field, making sure plans and designs are translated into successful real-world outcomes.
You'll be the person who knows what's happening on site, what's needed to keep things moving and, when something inevitably goes wrong, the person who takes ownership and works out how to put it right.
You'll be responsible for:
We're looking for someone who understands how projects actually get delivered, rather than simply how they look on a spreadsheet.
You may currently be working as a Project Engineer, Engineering Manager, Site Manager, Project Manager, Installation Manager, Contracts Manager or in another senior field-delivery position.
Your background could be in telecoms, security systems, construction, infrastructure, engineering or a similar project-based environment.
Ideally, you'll have:
