Role description:

At Arcadis, we're supporting one of the UK's most significant aviation infrastructure programmes, the Gatwick Airport Northern Runway Project. This is an opportunity to work at the heart of a high-profile programme, partnering with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams to provide robust cost management and commercial advice throughout project delivery.

As a Project Cost Consultant, you'll play a key role in managing project costs, forecasting expenditure, analysing commercial performance and supporting informed decision-making across the programme. You'll be involved in both site-based and office-based activities, working closely with stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and commercially successfully.

With a strong presence on site, you'll gain first-hand insight into project delivery while helping to manage risk, control costs and drive value throughout the project lifecycle.

Role accountabilities:
  • Delivering cost management services across major aviation infrastructure projects.
  • Preparing and maintaining cost plans, budgets, estimates and commercial reports.
  • Monitoring project performance, forecasting costs and analysing variances.
  • Supporting the administration and commercial management of NEC3/NEC4 contracts.
  • Managing compensation events and ensuring contract compliance.
  • Identifying commercial risks and opportunities and supporting mitigation strategies.
  • Building strong relationships with clients, contractors and project teams.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and best practice across the programme.

  • Strong commercial acumen, analytical capability and attention to detail.
  • Experience producing cost reports, forecasts and financial analysis.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
