Following the award of an Economic and Social Research Council large grant, Lancaster University is seeking to appoint a Project Coordinator to work in the new Centre for Corpus Linguistic Approaches to Safeguarding Studies (CLASS). You will be responsible for assisting the management of the £2,500,000 project, which aims to address contemporary questions in safeguarding and child protection research.

The role involves supporting the project lead, Professor Lauren Devine, with general administrative duties such as scheduling, diary management, arranging and minuting meetings (both in person and online), organizing travel and accommodation, liaising with the procurement team and other university departments. You will also ensure the timely processing of expenses and invoices, organize project management and advisory board meetings, and coordinate the production and circulation of papers and event materials, including organizing venues and refreshments for external engagement events. Additionally, liaising with external partners, Co-Investigators at other universities, and supporting a research administrator at Aston University are part of the role.
Applicants should have experience providing administrative support in a university or research environment, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to develop effective relationships with external colleagues, including members of the public.
The position is available from 1st August 2024, initially for one year with the possibility of extension.
The appointment is at Grade 5, with a salary range of £25,138 - £28,759. Appointments are typically made at the bottom of the scale.
