Job summary

WSP is expanding its Property and Buildings PMO with a dedicated Project Controls Service Lead to guide major projects. You will manage workload, set standards for schedule control, and coordinate UK and global teams while shaping new project management solutions.

The role emphasises collaboration, client-facing delivery, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment. Flexible office locations with travel will accompany the role.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in project controls and schedule management on large multi-disciplinary programmes.
• Proof of applying NEC family contracts in a collaborative environment.
• Strong ability to lead and facilitate cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills for internal and client-facing contexts.
• Membership of a professional institution or progression toward chartered status.

Responsibilities

• Identify and manage current workload and pipeline for Project Controls on major projects within P&B.
• Define scope and best practices in project controls and schedule management for major projects.
• Support management of Project Controllers in the UK and Global Capability Centres.
• Lead development of skills and capabilities of individuals in Project Controls.
• Provide Project Controls on major projects and programmes; deliver services collaboratively with partners.
• Develop standardised approaches to project controls for Major projects with SBUs.
