Job summary

METLEN is seeking a Project Controls Manager for the Grid & Digital Solutions arm in Newcastle upon Tyne. You will lead project controls, cost and time forecasts, and drive performance across planning and cost analysis teams.

The role requires a Bachelor's (Engineering or PM) with strong English, MS Office, and Primavera skills. Asset qualifications include a Master’s degree and PM certification. Join a global FTSE 100 leader driving sustainable energy and metals projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering or Project Management.
• Professional certification in project management will be considered an asset.
• Master’s degree in a relevant field will be considered an asset.
• Excellent use of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel & Power Point).
• Excellent use of Primavera (MS knowledge will be considered an asset).
• Knowledge of basic financial schemes.
• Contract-claims management qualification will be considered an asset.
• Excellent use of English Language.

Responsibilities

• Works closely with Project Planners, Cost Controllers, and Project Teams to define a Project Controls strategy.
• Supervision/review of all project planning, scheduling, cost estimating, and cost analysis activities, including impact identification and recovery plan development.
• Directs/manages the preparation and presentation of integrated project cost & time status and forecasts.
• Responsible for the development, execution, and management of all facets of a Project Controls plan.
• Overseas and manages input and output for quantitative measurement and progress tracking. Prepares collective reports to Leadership, updating on project status and highlighting issues with suggested corrective actions.

We are currently searching for a Project Controls Manager to join your Grid & Digital Solutions department, as part of the Thermal Power & HVDC division of Metlen, based in Newcastle upon Tyne.

Your role will encompass:
