Responsibilities:
  1. Operationally manage project or programme controls work to deliver defined objectives.
  2. Deliver your scope of work in line with budgetary, compliance, regulatory, and process controls, with deep technical knowledge and broad business experience.
  3. Select systems and tools appropriate for the work, develop and implement project-specific processes and procedures.
  4. Develop and grow the service capability, contribute to delivery of client account plans.
  5. Oversee an agreed scope of work, including the workload of a team or contractors, ensuring work is completed and resources are fully utilized to meet the programme of work.
  6. Produce schedules and cost plans, track and manage budgets, highlighting variances to produce management information.
  7. Deliver small to medium scale project or programme controls work within deadlines and budgets.
  8. Present project risks or issues to senior managers to ensure project is not adversely impacted, ensuring compliance with standards.
  9. Advise colleagues on behaviors to ensure adherence to internal and external compliance processes.
  10. Analyze data to identify themes and trends; provide recommendations to support decision-making.
  11. Review and analyze project controls processes and policies, providing recommendations for improvements.
  12. Collaborate across the organization to support project/programme controls delivery.
  13. Advise senior management on project controls issues to support successful delivery.
  14. Liaise with clients and stakeholders to keep all parties informed of progress and expectations.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Previous experience in the Rail sector environment.
  • Relevant business experience across multiple sectors.
  • Management of small to medium-sized projects and experience in major projects and programmes.
  • Commercial acumen and relationship management skills.
  • Expertise in service capability.
  • Knowledge of community management and understanding of service and business lines.
  • Experience managing business relationships at management level.
  • Relevant professional qualification or chartered status.
