Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Project Controller to support successful project delivery with robust project controls, cost tracking, forecasting, and risk management. You will collaborate with project managers and cross-functional teams to provide accurate insights for informed decisions.

The role emphasizes strong analytical skills, stakeholder management, and proficiency in Excel/PowerPoint, with a focus on continuous improvement of controls and reporting processes across the organization.

Qualifications

• Experience in project controls, project services, cost control, project administration, planning, or related discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret data and deliver insights.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management across diverse teams.
• Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Proactive, collaborative, and inclusive approach in a dynamic project environment.
• Experience with project management, ERP, or project controls systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Owning project cost tracking, forecasting, and performance analysis to provide visibility of financial performance and forecast outcomes.
• Monitoring project performance against cost, schedule, and delivery targets, identifying trends, risks, opportunities, and variances; escalate concerns as needed.
• Facilitating project reviews and supporting performance discussions with project teams, stakeholders, and leadership to drive success.
• Managing project change control processes, ensuring scope, schedule, and cost changes are identified, evaluated, documented, and approved.
• Supporting risk and opportunity management by maintaining risk registers and tracking mitigation actions.
• Developing and maintaining project performance reporting, including weekly and monthly customer and internal reports.
• Collaborating with finance, engineering, operations, procurement, and commercial teams to align objectives and reporting accuracy.
• Contributing to continuous improvement by enhancing project controls processes, tools, and reporting methodologies.
