Job summary

SCS Railways is seeking a Project Controls Engineer to support the HS2 London Tunnels contract, developing EVAs, reports, and cash flows. You will liaise with the planning, commercial, and supply chain teams to ensure robust control and accurate forecasting.

Flexible working options are available, including hybrid or remote arrangements, while maintaining focus on delivering on-time, within-budget project targets. You will contribute to continuous improvement and data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) terminology and practice.
• Proficient in Primavera P6 planning and control with budgets and resources.
• Strong Excel skills and data manipulation for templates and reporting.
• Knowledge of data visualization using Power BI and the ability to present insights clearly.
• Familiar with SharePoint and document management processes.

Responsibilities

• Use the document control system to optimise distribution of information.
• Work with the supply chain to establish effective relationships and ensure continuous improvement in delivering programme and productivity.
• Support the planning team to establish Earned Value Analysis (EVA) and ensure monthly reporting is accurate.
• Ensure client reporting requirements are always met with the project.
• Collaborate with the commercial team to ensure EVA and cost systems align and monthly reporting is accurate.
• Generate cash flow profiles with the commercial team and monitor.
• Maintain open and honest reporting with all parties to meet targets.
• Understand contract conditions and ensure project timescales are achieved.
• Assist with project risk registers, owners, and mitigation actions.
