Job summary

Safran, a global leader in aerospace, defence and space, seeks a Project Controller (PMO) in Wales. The role focuses on project controls, scheduling, cost tracking and governance across key programmes.

You will support Programme Managers, drive performance through planning and reporting, and contribute to continuous improvement within the PMO. This permanent, full-time position is based in Cwmbran, Wales.

Qualifications

  • Experience with project controls in a PMO environment.
  • Knowledge of EVM, cost tracking and reporting.
  • Strong planning and scheduling and risk-management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support Programme and Senior Programme Managers to ensure effective delivery of projects across cost, schedule, quality and risk.
  • Support planning, scheduling, and performance tracking for programmes.
  • Assist with Earned Value Management (EVM), NRC/RC cost tracking, and financial reporting.
  • Support risk management processes, including risk reviews and risk registers.
  • Produce and analyse KPI dashboards, reporting packs and customer deliverables.
  • Maintain and improve programme governance processes and tools.
  • Support integrated programme schedules, including critical path analysis and reporting.
  • Assist in continuous improvement initiatives across PMO and programme activities.

Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Excellent knowledge and experience with project controls encompassing risk, scheduling and governance, ideally within a PMO, or project support environment
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret data and produce reports
  • Proactive and organised approach, with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with stakeholders at all levels
  • Knowledge of planning tools, EVM or risk management processes
  • You will be a curious and proactive individual, with a strong interest in project delivery and a willingness to challenge and improve processes.
