Location: Milton Keynes – Hybrid, 3 days per week onsite

We are looking for an experienced Project Control Officer (PCO) to support a portfolio of projects within a large, complex and highly regulated organisation.
Working closely with Programme Managers and Project Managers, you will provide comprehensive project controls and project support across planning, governance, financial management, risk and issue management, reporting and stakeholder coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day project controls and support to Programme and Project Managers.
- Create, maintain and monitor project plans using Microsoft Project.
- Track project and workstream delivery against agreed plans, milestones and deadlines.
- Maintain and oversee risks, issues, actions and dependencies.
- Monitor project budgets, tracking actual costs against allocated budgets and producing regular financial reports.
- Support supplier orders, invoices and wider project financial administration.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, governance packs and reporting.
- Coordinate project and programme meetings, including agendas, minutes and action tracking.
- Chase and challenge stakeholders on outstanding actions and delivery progress.
- Act as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support project governance and ensure appropriate processes and controls are followed.
- Represent Project Managers at meetings when required.
- Essential Experience
- Previous experience as a Project Control Officer, Project Controls Analyst, PMO Analyst, Project Support Officer or similar.
- Experience supporting large projects, programmes or multiple concurrent projects.
- Strong project planning and scheduling experience using Microsoft Project.
- Good project financial management skills, including budget tracking, actuals, forecasting and reporting.
- Experience managing risks, issues, actions and project governance.
- Strong Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook skills.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- APM Fundamentals, PRINCE2 Foundation/Practitioner or equivalent project management qualification.
- Must currently hold active SC Security Clearance.
