Outsource UK is recruiting for a Project Controls Engineer - Planning to join a growing Defence team supporting the delivery of high-profile infrastructure projects across the UK.

This role is based in a hybrid Manchester location, requiring on-site presence up to 3 days per week, and offers a salary up to £70,000 plus bonus and car allowance.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience within a project controls environment.
• Experience in project or programme management environments, supporting the delivery or control of projects, programmes, or portfolios.
• Strong understanding of Project Controls principles and methodologies.

• Experience developing, maintaining, and analysing project schedules.
• Ability to work collaboratively with project teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain project schedules aligned with project requirements and objectives.
• Develop and update project programmes in collaboration with project managers and wider project teams.
• Work closely with stakeholders to define scope and develop detailed schedules and performance reporting.
• Monitor project progress, identify schedule variances, and highlight areas of potential risk.
• Analyse critical paths, dependencies, and constraints to assess the impact of changes and delays.
• Provide recommendations and recovery plans to mitigate schedule impacts.
• Support project managers with change management processes and schedule updates.
• Produce planning and performance reporting to support project decision-making.
• Contribute to continuous improvement within planning and project controls processes.
