As we continue our journey of growth and expansion to serve the new era of nuclear energy, Boccard, a leading specialist in engineering, manufacturing, construction, and maintenance in the nuclear energy industry, is looking for a Project Controls Engineer to join our Project Control team. The role aims to ensure the successful delivery of projects at the Nuclear New Build Project at Hinkley Point C, on time and within budget. The position will be based at Boccard Bristol city centre office.

Working across a portfolio of exciting projects, the role will support the Project Control Team, assisting the Programme Manager with reporting, document management, and project planning.

Responsibilities:

• Support multiple projects to ensure good practice and that project requirements and targets are met.
• Contribute to the delivery programme baseline and manage project control processes including requirements capture, planning, cost control, risk management, trend analysis, and change control.
• Assist in managing project risks and opportunities, implementing mitigation measures or other appropriate actions.
• Maintain project documentation to the required standards within the management system.
• Support the management of estimation and planning changes to enable valuation and submission of contract change requests.
• Assist the Project Management Office lead in delivering strategy and capability development responsibilities.
• Provide project performance data, including critical path analysis, float erosion, milestones, CPI, SPI, and EVA, to the Project Control lead monthly.
• Contribute to monthly client and supplier reports.
• Support internal audits to ensure procedural compliance and implement corrective actions as needed.

Experience and Qualifications:

Degree in an Engineering discipline. Candidates should be detail-oriented, organized, with excellent planning skills, analytical abilities, and proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Query, Power BI). Curiosity and a willingness to learn are essential.

Previous experience in an engineering or technical environment, preferably in the nuclear industry, would be advantageous.
