Job summary

Pointer Ltd. is recruiting a Project Engineer/Commissioning Engineer responsible for the installation and commissioning of advanced security systems across UK sites.

You will work safely and efficiently, ensuring quality and customer satisfaction while delivering projects on time and within budget. You will apply strong technical knowledge of IP CCTV, access control, and PIDS, coordinating with subcontractors and clients.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience installing similar equipment.
• ECS - CSCS certification.
• High level of experience with access control and IP CCTV security disciplines.
• Experience with IDS Galaxy, IP CCTV AXIS/Bosch, VMS Adpro/AXIS and PIDS SW Microwave/Optex Fibre Sence.
• CDM regulations knowledge would be an advantage.
• Experience in a project-oriented environment, team or independent.
• Current full driving license.
• Eligible to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Carry out quality installations of IP CCTV, Intruder & PIDS systems, predominantly within a substation environment.
• Collaborate with specialist sub-contractor resources.
• Liaise with clients and attend site meetings to maintain positive relationships.
• Provide regular project reports as directed by the Project Manager/Project Supervisor.
• Accurate, timely completion of documentation.
• Time management and program delivery.
