Job summary

Pointer Ltd. is recruiting a Project Engineer/Commissioning Engineer to lead installation and commissioning of security systems on UK projects, focusing on safety, quality, and client satisfaction. You will ensure work aligns with standards, regulation, and schedule.

You will deploy IP CCTV, access control and PIDS in challenging environments, coordinating with subcontractors, clients, and project managers to deliver on time and to budget.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience installing similar equipment.
• ECS - CSCS certification.
• High level of experience with access control and IP CCTV security disciplines.
• Experience with IDS (Galaxy), IP CCTV (AXIS & Bosch), VMS (Adpro / AXIS) and PIDS (South West Microwave / Optex Fibre Sence).
• CDM regulations knowledge would be an advantage.
• Current full driving license and eligibility to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Carry out quality installations of IP CCTV, Intruder & PIDS systems, predominantly within a substation environment.
• Collaborate with specialist sub-contractor resources.
• Liaise with clients and attend site meetings to maintain positive relationships.
• Provide regular project reports as directed by Project Manager/Project Supervisor.
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of documentation.
• Manage time and program delivery.

Job Summary

Pointer Ltd. are recruiting for a Project Engineer/Commissioning Engineer to be responsible for the successful installation and commissioning work on our projects in a safe, efficient manner, with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction to ensure the successful delivery to plan and budget.

Your expertise will ensure the seamless deployment of advanced security systems, consistently delivering high-quality service that exceeds client expectations. You will ensure all work is performed in line with company standards, adhering to relevant British Standards, and prioritising performance, safety, and compliance at every stage of the project.

Key Responsibilities:

You have a proven track record of being able to work independently, as well as working as part of a team, in a project-oriented environment and possess strong problem-solving abilities, demonstrating a proactive and solution-oriented approach to challenges on-site. You have an excellent attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and excellent communication skills in order to translate complex technical information into clear, actionable tasks.

You put focus on time management and bring a strong commitment to continuous learning, staying up to date with evolving technologies in the security and systems integration fields

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience installing similar equipment
