Job summary

Leonardo UK is seeking a senior technical leader to set the direction for technology maturation on the GCAP EW project. You will coordinate with PEM and senior stakeholders to ensure alignment with risk-based roadmaps, while maturing domain knowledge and maintaining strong customer relationships.

The role requires proven initiative, decisive problem-solving, and the ability to drive cross-functional teams through complex technical delivery within a hybrid work setup.

Qualifications

• Experience leading technology maturation activities within an industrial setting.
• Strong knowledge of EW systems and related technologies.
• Ability to act as technical interface to end users/customers.
• Proven track record pushing projects forward and making decisions.

Responsibilities

• Define direction for technology maturation activities aligned with project risks.
• Collaborate with PEM to ensure Statements of Work reflect technical delivery.
• Engage with senior technical stakeholders to align delivery with roadmaps.
• Provide input to the Technical Debt report and evolve domain knowledge.
• Serve as PoC for DAs and Engineers to deepen system understanding.
• Establish technical links within customer community to capture drivers.

Your impact

In this role you will setthe technical direction of technology maturation activities onGCAP EW, working with otherSDAs toprioritise areas of highest technical risk

• Set the direction fortechnology maturation activities,ensuring this is coherent with thetechnical risksidentifiedelsewhere in the project.
• Work with the PEM to ensure SoW is representative of the technical deliveryrequired.
• Work with senior technical stakeholders in the business to ensure technical deliveryon the projectis complimentary with other low TRL development and technical roadmaps.
• Responsible for providing technical input to the Technical Debt report.
• Key PoC for DA’s and Engineers in helping to mature their Domain knowledge and overall understanding of the GCAP System.
• Establish technical links within the Customer community to capture customer drivers and concerns.
• Work closely withthePEM and procurement to mature the supply chain for the EW system.
