Job summary

Leonardo UK Ltd is seeking a professional to lead the technical direction of technology maturation for the GCAP EW program. You will interact with the PEM and senior stakeholders to ensure delivery aligns with roadmaps and SoW, maturing domain knowledge, while engaging with customers to capture drivers and concerns.

The role emphasises proactive project momentum, collaboration with procurement, and building robust supplier relationships within the EW domain.

Qualifications

• EW systems domain knowledge is required or highly desirable.
• Ability to act as technical interface to the End User/customer.
• Experience dealing with challenging customers, end users and suppliers.
• Proven ability to push projects forward and make decisive decisions.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the PEM to ensure the SoW reflects technical delivery needs.

Your impact: In this role you will set the technical direction of technology maturation activities on GCAP EW, working with other SDAs to prioritise areas of highest technical risk. Set the direction for technology maturation activities, ensuring this is coherent with the technical risks identified elsewhere in the project. Work with the PEM to ensure SoW is representative of the technical delivery required. Work with senior technical stakeholders in the business to ensure technical delivery on the project is complimentary with other low TRL development and technical roadmaps. Responsible for providing technical input to the Technical Debt report. Key PoC for DA’s and Engineers in helping to mature their Domain knowledge and overall understanding of the GCAP System. Establish technical links within the Customer community to capture customer drivers and concerns. Work closely with the PEM and procurement to mature the supply chain for the EW system.

The salary range shown reflects the approved grade band for this role, or a narrower hiring range published within that band, and is benchmarked against the external market. Exceptions above the standard range are managed through governance controls to protect internal equity.
