NSG Environmental Ltd in Aldermaston is seeking a Buyer to deliver high-quality procurement support throughout project lifecycles. This role ensures alignment with project requirements and manages supplier performance to contribute to successful project outcomes.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sourcing, negotiation, and RFQ management, along with essential skills in communication and organisation. The position involves significant engagement with stakeholders and supports various procurement activities across projects.
NSG Environmental Ltd has been delivering work programmes in the nuclear industry for over 40 years. Traditionally in the areas of decommissioning and waste management, NSG now has a broad customer base and provides a wide spectrum of services across the nuclear project lifecycle, ranging from expert consultancy support, R&D and engineering design to rekit and refurbishment, site installation services and high-hazard physical decommissioning works, amongst others. This work is delivered at NSG’s own offices and purpose-built facilities and nuclear sites across the UK. The delivery and management of these projects and programmes of work is carried out by a skilled workforce composed of both white-collar and blue-collar personnel in technical, administrative, and physical roles.

The Role
The Buyer provides high-quality, timely procurement support aligned to processes and best practice, including sourcing, managing procurement schedules, supporting procurement strategies, and coordinating deliveries. The role supports successful project outcomes by ensuring alignment with project requirements, customer specifications and governance, while capturing and feeding back supplier performance to support central supply chain management.
The Buyer plays a key role in delivering successful project outcomes as a directly chargeable role, providing effective procurement support throughout the project lifecycle, including ongoing supplier performance management.
