Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Buyer for a nuclear construction project at Hinkley Point C. This site-based role requires attending site four days a week and coordinating with Construction, Quality, and Care & Maintenance teams to align procurement with schedules and budgets.

You will develop scopes of work, create requisitions, and manage supplier relations while expediting deliveries and ensuring compliance with processes across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience in procurement and supply chain management in a similar role.
• Strong negotiation, influencing and communication skills with key stakeholders.
• Construction background preferred but not essential.
• UK driving license and BPSS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Manage the procurement of all site orders through the Demand Form Process to maintain stock levels.
• Expedite deliveries and liaise with suppliers and logistics to meet delivery dates; maintain records.
• Participate in local business outreach to increase local participation.
• Receive goods via online systems; coordinate with Materiel Controllers and Quantity Surveyor to record items.
• Administer Purchase Orders and procurement agreements; address issues and apply remedies.
• Review supplier payment schedules and invoices per PO terms; ensure timely payment.
• Track progress of supply chain activities including expediting deliveries.
• Perform other project-related procurement duties as required.
