Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking an experienced Project Architect to lead the technical design phase of a major project. You will translate requirements into a robust, scalable target architecture and provide technical leadership throughout the design process.

The role requires delivering high-quality architecture documentation and ensuring alignment with standards, with hybrid working arrangements and a 6-month rolling engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical architecture and design workshops with stakeholders to validate and finalise requirements emerging from the discovery phase.
• Define and finalise the target architecture, system landscape, and integration approach.
• Develop and deliver comprehensive High-Level Design (HLD) documentation covering: Application architecture, Infrastructure, Security, Networking, Integrations, Data flows.
• Assess current-state architecture and identify gaps, dependencies, risks, and migration considerations.
• Define and incorporate non-functional requirements (NFRs) including availability, scalability, performance, security, and disaster recovery.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, application, security, and integration teams to ensure architecture decisions align with technical standards and best practice.
• Review and validate solution designs against established technical architecture guidelines.
• Provide technical leadership, architecture recommendations, and effort estimates to support project planning and implementation.
• Present HLD documentation to stakeholders, address feedback, and secure architecture sign-off.
• Support the transition from design into build and implementation, ensuring architecture requirements are clearly communicated to delivery teams.
