Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking a Solution Architect for a Bristol-based professional services firm undergoing a major technology transformation. The role blends architecture leadership with hands-on design, delivering scalable and secure end-to-end solutions across applications, infrastructure and data.

It requires collaboration with business stakeholders, project teams and technical specialists. The position is hybrid, with 3 days onsite in central Bristol and flexible remote work.

Qualifications

• Experience producing high-level and low-level solution designs.
• Designing enterprise-scale solutions across applications, infrastructure and data.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and/or AWS.
• API design, systems integration and modern integration patterns.
• Security and architecture governance.
• Working with cross-functional teams to deliver technology solutions.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality High-Level Designs (HLDs) and, where appropriate, detailed Low-Level Designs (LLDs).
• Lead solution discovery activities and translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.
• Define integration approaches, APIs and data flows between enterprise platforms and business systems.
• Support architecture governance, technical design reviews and solution assurance activities.
• Ensure solutions meet security, scalability, resilience and operational support requirements.
• Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, delivery teams and third-party suppliers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Contribute to architecture standards, best practice and reusable design patterns.
