Job summary

Penguin Recruitment Ltd is working with an architectural practice in Leamington Spa seeking a Project Architect to join its team. The role focuses on delivering hotel, hospitality, leisure and community projects, with an emphasis on design quality, context, and heritage-conscious solutions.

You will drive projects through all RIBA stages, liaise with consultants and contractors, develop drawings and technical packages, and support junior team members.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Project Architect in a UK practice.
• ARB registration.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating design talent and project delivery.
• Proficiency in Revit; AutoCAD or SketchUp an advantage.
• Experience on heritage or conservation-led projects desirable.
• Strong organisational, coordination, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive projects forward through all RIBA stages, upholding a high standard of design quality, intent, and detailing.
• Liaise with consultants, contractors, and wider project teams to meet programme, design, and cost objectives.
• Develop and check drawings, presentations, and technical packages.

Project Architect
Location: Leamington Spa
Salary: £45-55,000 depending on experience

I'm working with an architectural practice in Leamington Spa that is seeking a Project Architect to join its growing team. The studio is recognised for award-winning work across hotel, hospitality, leisure, and community projects, with a clear focus on design quality and responding sensitively to context. Combining conservation expertise with a contemporary design approach, the practice produces architecture that is both considered and enduring.

Key Responsibilities for the Project Architect:

• Drive projects forward through all RIBA stages, upholding a high standard of design quality, intent, and detailing


• Liaise with consultants, contractors, and wider project teams to meet programme, design, and cost objectives


• Develop and check drawings, presentations, and technical packages


• Manage planning and listed building consent submissions where required


• Contribute to the practice's commitment to design excellence, sustainability, and innovation


• Support and help develop junior team members in a collaborative studio environment

The successful Project Architect will have:

• Proven experience as a Project Architect or similar role within a UK practice


• ARB registration


• A strong portfolio demonstrating design talent and successful project delivery in relevant sectors


• Proficiency in Revit (AutoCAD or SketchUp experience is an advantage)


• Experience on heritage or conservation-led projects is highly desirable


• Strong organisational, coordination, and communication skills
