Job summary

South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service is seeking a Project and Programme Manager to ensure the effective delivery of property programmes and projects, delivered through government frameworks. You will lead planning, produce business cases to handover, and drive value for money within framework agreements.

In this senior role you will manage governance, report to senior stakeholders, oversee Health & Safety compliance, budgets, and CAPITAL capital workstreams for annual estates projects.

Qualifications

• Applicants must hold a relevant project management qualification and have extensive experience working in live environments.
• Sound knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, Building Regulations, Asset Management principles and CAPITAL Budget/ Programmes management.

Responsibilities

• Deliver property related programmes and projects through government frameworks.
• Produce planning and project documentation from initial business case through to project delivery and handover, ensuring value for money via framework agreements.
• Report on project status to senior stakeholders via formal reporting processes, implementing best practice across the team in project delivery.
• Lead CAPITAL programming workstreams and the delivery of planned annual estates projects.
• Ensure Health & Safety compliance and budget control across projects.
• Act as the senior point of contact for stakeholders and oversee project completion and handover.
