Job summary

We’re hiring a Project and Development Manager at B&Q plc, based in our Southampton Store Support office. You will lead cross-functional project delivery, establish governance, and drive continual improvements across large, complex workstreams.

The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on delivery across RM, tech, and business stakeholders. You’ll coordinate discovery through to handover, report regularly on progress, and shape the roadmap with a focus on operational excellence and

• Lead and coordinate with stakeholders during discovery, implementation, review and completion.
• Coordinate with RM, tech, UX and other stakeholders for pilots and BAU handover.
• Ensure weekly/monthly reporting on all projects and delivery reviews.
• Share project best practices and drive continual improvement of Retail Media operations.
• Participate in prioritisation, capacity and resource planning of the roadmap.
• Project manage initiatives as required and resolve problems creatively.

Join us as a Project and Development Manager and you'll be a big part of this. What's the job?:

• Lead and co-ordinate with stakeholders during the project discovery, implementation, review, and completion phases to ensure effective project implementations.
• Develop and implement project frameworks, processes, and controls to ensure efficient delivery and compliance with all requirements.
• Manage stakeholder and governance forum updates regarding in-delivery and completed projects.
• Coordinate with RM, tech, UX and all relevant stakeholders on the pilot & launch as well as the BAU handover process agreed upon at project commencement and ensure effective delivery into the business.
• Ensure weekly/monthly reporting on all projects alongside operational implementation reviews to drive continual improvements.
• Lead in sharing project best practices and continual improvement feedback for future projects and for the continuous improvement of our Retail Media operations.
• Actively involved in prioritisation, capacity, and resource planning of the roadmap.
• Project manage individual initiatives as necessary.
• Proven track record of implementing new business concepts within a large organisation
• Strong practical experience in project management through managing large, complex and multiple workstreams
• Ability to find innovative ways to resolve problems
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Experience of working cross functionally and with third parties to deliver change
• Ability to design, implement and monitor program governance controls
