Job summary

NESFircroft is sourcing for a Project Accountant on a contract basis for a global power technology client in their high voltage transformer business unit.

Based in Stone, Staffordshire, the role offers 37.5 hours per week on-site with a rate circa £30 per hour and Inside IR35 PAYE or Umbrella arrangements. The post requires strong SAP FI/CO knowledge and advanced Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Essential – Qualified or part-qualified CIMA, ACCA or similar
• Experience in an accounting or controlling environment
• Good understanding of SAP FI and CO modules
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, look-ups, filters)
• Excellent organisational skills
• Proficiency with Lotus Notes

Responsibilities

• Prepare journals and accruals
• Prepare overhead allocations
• Reconcile and review key balance sheet accounts such as stock and provisions
• Resolve errors
• Provide month-end Abacus reporting support (input to Abacus by SAS)
• Balance sheet reconciliation and review
• Prepare cost centre correction journals where required
• Headcount reconciliation and reporting
• Sales expenses variance analysis
• Provide local finance and accounting support to the business
• Cash flow forecasts
• Manage and review FX forward contracts
• Manage intra-business recharges
• Provide support to the annual budget and rolling forecast processes
• Support annual budget process
• Prepare local cost centre budgets for input to SAP
• Update the monthly rolling forecast in BI
• Provide ad-hoc reporting, troubleshooting and analysis when required
• Provide support to GBS with the completion of the Abacus reporting packs
• Act as focal point for day-to-day FI/CO enquiries from GBS
• Assist with the development of local management reports
• Prepare backup information for external parties
