Job summary

Four Recruitment is assisting a client in identifying a Project Accountant for a newly created, 12-month role with potential to go permanent. Hybrid work includes 1 day in the office. The role focuses on accuracy of financial reporting, acquisitions support, budgeting and diverse projects across the business.

The successful candidate will be ACA qualified with an audit background and a strong eye for data integrity, plus the ability to build robust stakeholder relationships across the Group.

Responsibilities

• Preparing acquisition-related financial information, including supporting acquisition integrations, completion statements and earn-out calculations
• Reviewing historical financial data to ensure accuracy, consistency and integrity across the Group
• Performing reconciliations across finance systems and reporting platforms, investigating discrepancies and working with relevant teams to resolve them
• Supporting the preparation of key budgets and forecasts
• Getting involved in ad hoc finance projects, including data analysis, reviews and reconciliations
• Providing financial insight and support to help the wider business make informed decisions

Job description

I am currently supporting a client with their search for a Project Accountant. This is a newly created role, initially for 12 months but with the potential to go permanent. It is an ideal opportunity for a qualified accountant who enjoys getting beyond the numbers, has a sharp eye for detail and a strong analytical mindset with the ability to make sense of complex financial information.

In this role you will play an important part in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the financial reporting, while supporting acquisitions, integrations, budgeting and a range of exciting projects.

There’s plenty of opportunity to add value, investigate the detail, solve problems and work with colleagues across the business.

As the Project Accountant, you’ll be involved in a variety of financial and project-based activities, including:

• Preparing acquisition-related financial information, including supporting acquisition integrations, completion statements and earn-out calculations
• Reviewing historical financial data to ensure accuracy, consistency and integrity across the Group
• Performing reconciliations across finance systems and reporting platforms, investigating discrepancies and working with relevant teams to resolve them

To be considered for this role it is essential that you are ACA qualified with an audit background and have a strong understanding of financial reconciliations and data integrity, along with being a real people person – someone who can build strong relationships with key stakeholders.

Please note this is a hybrid role with just 1 day per week in the office.
