Job summary

MarcDaniels in London is seeking a finance professional to manage project financials, budgeting, forecasting and reporting. You will partner with project managers and non-finance stakeholders, ensuring accurate cost control and revenue recognition.

The role offers hybrid working with two days from home and a supportive, flexible environment. The ideal candidate is part-qualified ACCA/CIMA or QBE, with strong Excel skills and experience in project accounting, contract accounting or management

Qualifications

• Part-qualified or fully qualified ACCA / CIMA (or equivalent), or QBE (Qualified By Experience).
• Demonstrable experience in a finance or accounting role, ideally within project accounting, contract accounting, or management accounting.
• Solid understanding of project accounting principles, budgeting, forecasting, revenue recognition, and financial controls.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of project financial reports and analysis efficiently.
• Assist with project budgeting and forecasting.
• Prepare monthly project reconciliations and review project costs.
• Business partner with project managers and non-finance stakeholders.
• Prepare project financial reports for senior management.
• Monitor project performance, profitability, and revenue recognition.
• Support VAT returns and external audits.

The Role

You will be responsible for supporting the financial management of projects, including budgeting, forecasting, project reporting, cost analysis, and financial controls in line with agreed deadlines. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to communicate financial information clearly to both financial and non‑financial stakeholders.
