Job Description:

Forge an Account Executive career with one of the most progressive independent insurance broking firms in the UK, now with a decade's trading history and sustained growth, and bigger plans to come.

The business is big on developing talent, and this role has been created with that in mind - it’s ideal for an account handler, broker or underwriter to make the step into an Account Executive role with a structured training plan and full support.

  • A competitive base salary of up to £60,000, complemented by a pension contribution, private medical, health plan and other benefits.
  • Performance-related bonus based related to retention and growth.
  • Investment in professional development, including support for qualifications.
  • Split your time between modern offices locations, client visits and home/remote working.
  • A firm commitment to employee well-being, recognition, and rewards.
  • Engaging social events and team-building activities to foster a collaborative culture.

Account Executive Role Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop a portfolio of existing clients, ensuring exceptional service and retention.
  • Collaborate with the new business team to strategically expand your account in a structured manner, identifying the right prospects in the right sectors to win sustainable long term clients.
  • Have access to outstanding products and services to meet client needs – this includes a range of innovative sectors including Life Science & Technology, Private Equity, Leisure & Entertainment, Media & Creative, Real Estate and Construction.
  • Benefit from comprehensive support in administrative, broking, and claims tasks.
  • A solid grounding in commercial insurance, having dealt with clients in an account handling, broking, or underwriting role and seeking the additional responsibility and challenge of an Account Executive role.
  • A strong communicator, able to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Keen acumen for identifying and securing new business opportunities.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.

Location & Availability:

  • Candidates should ideally be based near to one of the firms regional offices, within commuting distance to London, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Newcastle, Bristol or Edinburgh for work, meetings, training and coaching purposes.

This role is tailored for professionals seeking to progress from positions such as Account Handler or Underwriter into a more strategic Account Executive role.

With a structured training plan in place, the transition will be smooth and fully supported.
