Job summary

Burnley College seeks an innovative Progress Development Tutor to join its BPS team, supporting learners to reach their potential through improved engagement, attendance and progress.

You will actively listen to learners, understand their goals, and adopt a solutions-focused approach to overcome barriers to learning, ensuring inclusion for all and building strong relationships with subject teachers to ensure wraparound support for learners, addressing both academic and personal needs.

Qualifications

• The successful candidate will be qualified to at least Level 3 and have a minimum of level 2 qualification in English and mathematics grade C or above.
• Experience of working with young people and/or working in an educational setting and knowledge of current issues in further education, particularly in relation to barriers in learning is essential.

The salary for this post is up to £29,471
