Job summary

Dovetail & Slate Ltd is recruiting a Progress Coach to support learners in a further education setting. You will work one-to-one and in small groups, alongside teaching staff to keep learners engaged, confident and on track.

No formal teaching qualifications are required; what matters most is genuine enthusiasm for helping learners progress and supporting their goals. DBS checks and safeguarding may be needed.

Qualifications

• Level 2 qualification or higher in English and maths.
• Experience of working with young people or adults with additional learning needs, or an extensive care background.
• Up-to-date safeguarding training, or a willingness to obtain it.
• Enhanced DBS check, or a willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Providing one-to-one and group support to mainstream learners and learners with additional learning needs.
• Supporting teaching staff to maintain an inclusive learning environment.
• Monitoring learner progress and putting support in place where learners are at risk of falling behind.

About the Role

You'll join a further education provider as a Progress Coach, supporting learners on a one-to-one basis and in small groups as they work through their programmes. You'll work alongside teaching staff to keep learners engaged, confident and on track.
