PwC UK is seeking a Course Manager to drive end-to-end learning delivery from design through implementation and evaluation, ensuring a high-quality learner experience and consistent service delivery. You will collaborate with Learning & Development colleagues and stakeholders to oversee programmes and manage resources.

The role requires strong project leadership, risk control, and budget stewardship, with a focus on building trusted relationships and coaching junior team members to deliver value

Qualifications

  • Excellent project management, risk management, budgeting and organisational skills.
  • Ability to build and develop strong relationships at all levels.
  • Experience coaching/supervision of more junior team members.
  • Commercial orientation and ability to consider cost in decisions.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify issues and inform solutions.
  • Interest in learning design and delivery, and application of 70:20:10.

Responsibilities

  • Project manage all stages of the learning design life cycle for individual L&D programmes.
  • Accountable for project initiation, budget control, project management, risk management and reporting.
  • Work closely with other L&D teams to ensure planned activity is implemented.
  • Implement tutor briefings ahead of the L&D programmes.
  • Oversee relationships with third party suppliers ensuring service and quality is maintained, to agreed SLAs.
  • Be the escalation point for programme queries and risks.
  • Draft implementation project plans and ensure all logistical requirements to run the programme are clearly defined.
  • Coach and supervise more junior members of the learning experience team.

Within our People Solutions team, Learning Implementation & Reporting (LI&R) plays a key role in delivering high-quality learning programmes that support business performance and employee development. From planning and delivery through to evaluation and continuous improvement, the team ensures our learning initiatives run seamlessly and have a meaningful impact. As a Course Manager, you'll work closely with stakeholders and Learning & Development colleagues to oversee the successful delivery of learning interventions from design through to implementation and evaluation, ensuring an excellent learner experience and consistent service delivery.

What Your Days Will Look Like
  • Project manage all stages of the learning design life cycle for individual L&D programmes. This will involve ensuring all programmes are effectively running, or seeking new solutions to improve the programmes
  • Accountable for project initiation, budget control, project management, risk management and reporting
  • Work closely with other L&D teams to ensure all planned activity is implemented and achieved
  • Implement tutor briefings ahead of the L&D programmes
  • Agree scope of work and final sign off with third party suppliers; overseeing relationships with third party suppliers ensuring service and quality is sustained, to agreed Service Level Agreements
  • Be the escalation point for programme queries and risks, and work with the team lead as needed
  • Support the Course Executive to draft implementation project plans and ensure all logistical requirements to run the programme are clearly defined, this enabling the implementation team to work effectively
  • Coach and supervise more junior members of the learning experience team
This Role Is For You If
  • You have excellent project management, and risk management, budgetary (including ownership of multiple budgets and associated activities e.g. setting and monitoring) and organisational skills
  • You have an ability to build and develop strong relationships at all levels, and work collaboratively to create value for the firm
  • You have some experience with coaching/supervision of more junior team members and the ability to create an environment of trust
  • You are commercially orientated – keeping commercial aspects continually in mind when taking actions or making decisions
  • You have strong analytical skills to effectively identify issues and be able to apply sounding conclusions resulting in the right solution, at the right time and at the right cost.
  • You have a strong interest in learning design and delivery, and application of 70:20:10
