Job summary

Systems Engineering and Assessment Limited seeks a Programme Risk Manager to provide specialist risk management across SEA programmes, projects and bids. You will identify, assess, and report threats and opportunities across the full lifecycle, with hybrid/flexible working and sites in the UK.

The role involves governance, risk workshops, data maintenance, and support for cost and schedule risk inputs to improve delivery confidence and decision-making.

Qualifications

• Significant experience managing risk in complex defence/engineering programmes or similar high-assurance projects.
• Experience facilitating risk workshops and maintaining RAIDO/risk registers.
• Developing mitigation plans and producing decision-ready risk reporting for senior stakeholders.
• Understanding how risk, schedule, cost, change and dependencies interact across the lifecycle.
• Experience supporting bids and live delivery programmes with risk inputs to estimates and governance.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain robust risk governance across programmes, with risk reviews and escalation routes.
• Maintain high-quality risk, opportunity, assumption, issue and dependency data to support delivery objectives.
• Support qualitative and quantitative risk analysis to improve delivery confidence and contingency planning.
