Job summary

Altrad is seeking an experienced Programme Performance Lead to drive delivery, governance and financial control for a complex UK infrastructure programme in Helensburgh. Hybrid working supports on-site presence while enabling flexible planning.

You will monitor milestones, forecast budgets, produce governance materials and present performance insights to senior stakeholders, ensuring delivery aligns with programme objectives and stringent safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Experience in programme or project performance management within a complex environment.
  • Strong understanding of programme governance and reporting.
  • Excellent financial management, forecasting, and reporting skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office 365, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage at all levels.
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise workloads and work independently.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain UK security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and oversee programme performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Review programme schedules, milestones, and delivery plans to ensure progress is effectively tracked.
  • Identify programme-level issues and work collaboratively with stakeholders to develop appropriate solutions.
  • Manage programme financial performance through forecasting, budgeting, and regular reporting.
  • Support the preparation and coordination of programme governance meetings, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
  • Develop and improve programme reporting processes to provide clear and meaningful performance information.
  • Produce high-quality reports and presentations for senior stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with programme teams to support successful programme delivery.

Programme Performance Lead - Helensburgh

Working pattern: Hybrid - minimum of 2 days per week based on site in Helensburgh.

Altrad are currently looking for an experienced Programme Performance Lead to join the team.

About The Role

As Programme Performance Lead, you will support the successful delivery of a complex programme of infrastructure works by driving programme performance, governance, and financial management. Working closely with programme leadership, you will monitor progress against key milestones, identify risks and opportunities, and help ensure projects are delivered efficiently and in line with programme objectives. You will also play a key role in financial forecasting, reporting, and the continuous improvement of programme performance processes.

Key Requirements / Qualifications
  • Experience in programme or project performance management within a complex environment.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage at all levels.

  • Eligible to obtain and maintain UK security clearance.
Desirable
  • Previous experience working within highly regulated industries such as defence, nuclear, infrastructure, engineering, or construction.
  • Experience supporting large-scale capital or infrastructure programmes.
  • Knowledge of programme management methodologies and best practice.
  • Experience producing management information and performance dashboards.
