Programme Officer – 6-Month Temp – £22.21 per Hour – London Hybrid

Are you an experienced Programme Officer looking to make a meaningful impact in an international setting? A prestigious intergovernmental body is on the hunt for a talented individual to support its Trade, Oceans, and Natural Resources Directorate at its central London headquarters.

This hybrid, temporary role offers a competitive pay rate of £22.21 per hour PAYE and the opportunity to work in an influential organisation shaping global initiatives. The successful candidate will join a collaborative team, working 2-3 days a week from the London office, with the rest remotely.

What You’ll Be Doing:

You’ll play a key role in ensuring the seamless implementation and reporting of major programmes. Responsibilities include: Coordinating internal and external workflows to maintain efficiency across the directorate. Ensuring systems and operational mechanisms align with corporate policy, maintaining accuracy and timely submissions. Supporting programme planning, monitoring, and management information systems. Keeping a keen eye on compliance with organisational policies and procedures. Building and maintaining strong relationships with international partners and stakeholders.

Who We’re Looking For:

The ideal candidate will bring expertise in international or governmental organisations, a degree-level education, and strong technical capabilities. Key skills include: Solid experience in senior administrative roles. Strong financial planning, budgeting, and management knowledge. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and Financial Management Systems. Ability to analyse and present statistical data effectively. Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills. A strong track record of multi-tasking under pressure and delivering high-quality results. Exceptional interpersonal skills to work seamlessly with stakeholders across sectors and countries.
