RTX Raytheon UK is seeking an energetic Project Manager to lead the Integrated Project Team within the APNT group. You will drive bids and proposals, coordinate requirements and capture activities, and build strong customer and supplier relationships both nationally and internationally.

The role requires a technical or PM degree, proven leadership of multi‑discipline teams, risk and opportunity management, and solid project financial control.

About the Role

The Raytheon UK Advanced Products team has a fantastic opportunity for an energetic and confident new team member to provide direction and management of a high performing Integrated Project Team. Working within the APNT (Assured Positioning, Navigation and Timing) team, as part of the wider Advanced Products business unit, the successful candidate will lead and co‑ordinate our Bids and Proposals activity, establishing and growing effective relationships with both new and existing customers. Success will require customer focused innovative thinking, forward planning, strong communication and an ability to react quickly to changes. As a valuable member of the APNT team this Project Management role is pivotal in identifying and securing new opportunities, working collaboratively with the wider company and creating an inclusive environment for the team to grow. As part of the day‑to‑day activities the role will lead the activities of the Integrated Project Team (IPT) and requires close interaction with Requirements and Capture colleagues, and Commercial colleagues, to shape, develop and issue compelling proposals to our customers. A key benefit of this role is you will have the opportunity to visit customers and suppliers both nationally and internationally.

Candidate Requirements

• Essential: Degree qualified in a technical, manufacturing or project management related discipline, or with equivalent non-academic experience.
• Essential: Effective scope management and ability to understand and execute to customer requirements.
• Essential: Experience in providing leadership and direction to multi-disciplined teams.
• Essential: Risk and Opportunity management, knowledge of qualitative and quantitative risk and opportunity management techniques and tools.
• Essential: Experience in project financial management and reporting, ensuring a complete and accurate view is available on request.
• Essential: Demonstrated expertise in managing issues while bringing projects to successful completion within the cost and time requirements.
• Essential: Ability to make decisions and develop corrective actions based on interpretation of available project performance data and metrics.
• Desirable: Experience in capture and proposal management with a track record of preparing and submitting winning proposals.
• Desirable: Effective stakeholder management including both customer interfacing and presenting to senior management.
• Desirable: Supportive, with the character to navigate sensitive and pressurised situations to overcome delivery challenges.
• Desirable: Strong verbal, written and presentation skills with the ability to influence, persuade, lead and motivate teams, and produce / deliver reporting to; customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders, at all levels.
• Desirable: A recognized project management qualification is highly desirable.
• Desirable: Experienced Programme Manager with a successful track record in setting up and executing complex projects to schedule, budget and quality with P&L accountability.
• Desirable: Experience of working in relevant domains.
• Desirable: Experience in managing multiple programs and Project Managers.
