Job summary

Mace seeks an experienced Programme Manager to direct the development of an integrated plan between the Future Delivery Strategy and Capital Delivery Change Portfolio into a single transformation programme.

Working with executive leaders, sponsors, and external partners, the role provides strategic leadership, programme management, and stakeholder engagement to align change initiatives with the future operating model and delivery strategy.

Responsibilities

• Manage development and management of an integrated plan for the future delivery strategy and capital delivery change portfolio.
• Create and maintain a single strategic roadmap linking change, capability development, client model transformation, and delivery requirements.
• Establish programme governance, reporting, and decision-making forums.
• Drive alignment between strategic objectives, change initiatives, and operational delivery priorities.
• Ensure programme outcomes are delivered to agreed scope, timescales, and business objectives.
• Consolidate multiple workstreams, programmes, and initiatives into a clear portfolio view.
• Identify and manage dependencies, risks, opportunities, and conflicts across change activities.
• Facilitate the development of integrated delivery plans and implementation roadmaps.
• Support prioritisation of investments and resource allocation across the portfolio.
• Develop recommendations for future organisational, process, governance, and capability changes.
• Engage with Executive Directors, Senior Leaders, Programme Sponsors, and delivery partners.
• Facilitate workshops to build consensus and alignment.
• Challenge where clarity or decisions are required.
• Build relationships across client, partner, and delivery organisations.
• Translate complex information into messages for senior audiences.
• Drive momentum across stakeholder groups and change initiatives.

We are seeking an experienced Programme Manager to direct the development of one integrated plan between the Future Delivery Strategy and Capital Delivery Change Portfolio into a single, coherent transformation programme.

Working closely with executive leaders, business sponsors, programme teams, external consultants and delivery partners, the role will provide strategic leadership, programme management, and stakeholder engagement to ensure that current change initiatives align with the future operating model and delivery strategy.

The successful candidate will be supporting the IP Service Delivery Lead creating a clear integrated roadmap, managing interdependencies, driving decision-making, and ensuring change activity delivers measurable business outcomes.

You’ll Be Responsible For

Delivery and programme support

• Managing the development and management of an integrated plan for the future delivery strategy and capital delivery change portfolio.
• Creating and maintaining a single strategic roadmap linking business change, capability development, client model transformation, and future delivery requirements.
• Establishing programme governance, reporting, and decision-making forums.
• Driving alignment between strategic objectives, change initiatives, and operational delivery priorities.
• Ensuring programme outcomes are delivered to agreed scope, timescales, and business objectives.

Strategic planning and portfolio integration

• Consolidating multiple workstreams, programmes, and initiatives into a clear and coherent portfolio view.
• Identifying and managing dependencies, assumptions, risks, opportunities, and conflicts across change activities.
• Facilitating the development of integrated delivery plans and implementation roadmaps.
• Supporting prioritisation of investments and resource allocation across the portfolio.
• Developing recommendations for future organisational, process, governance, and capability changes.

Stakeholder engagement

• Engaging effectively with Executive Directors, Senior Leaders, Programme Sponsors, and key delivery partners.
• Facilitating workshops and strategic planning sessions to build consensus and alignment.
• Challenging constructively where clarity, direction, or decisions are required.
• Building strong relationships across client, partner, and delivery organisations.
• Translating complex information into clear messages for senior audiences.
• Changing and transformation management.
• Ensuring change impacts, communications, engagement, and adoption requirements are fully considered.

You’ll Need To Have

• Degree qualified (or on track to achieve) in Business, Project Management, Engineering, Management, Communications, or a related discipline.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
