Job description

This role will be involved in the delivery of a programme of a wide variety of transformation projects which contribute to the strategic direction of the firm. Each Project Manager will be responsible for assigned projects, developing a clear project management plan from the outset and managing this through all stages. The Programme Manager will coordinate and communicate programme level issues and will work closely with the Project Managers and a broad range of stakeholders (using cross-functional and third-party resource teams) to deliver the programme successfully.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Provide effective and efficient programme and project management support, including working with regions to embed relevant change programmes.
• Actively manage identified work streams to ensure that key deliverables and milestones are identified and delivered, with key risks and issues escalated and mitigation agreed.
• Manage a complex diverse portfolio, flexing to need but consistently demonstrating measured change/delivery.
• Effectively use methodologies and approaches to deliver transformational change including maximising quality and customer/client experience.
• To adapt existing or design new approaches, to enable the delivery of distinctive operational models.
• To work in a flexible and agile way.
• To assist in the allocation and identification of resources to enable the design and delivery of the work programme and its component projects.
• To support the delivery of day-to-day activities and projects.
• Support the portfolio of initiatives in demonstrating value for money for the current spend.
• Contribute to the strategic planning of team projects, identifying interdependencies across projects/functions, potential impacts on the wider organisation, resource requirements and building in contingency and adjustments as necessary.
• Contribute to short-medium-and long-term business plans, achieving quality outcomes.
• To meet predefined objectives through autonomous working and the provision of a range of leadership styles in a variety of environments including the ability to manage conflict, negotiate and drive change.
• To model a collaborative and influencing style of working, negotiating with others to achieve the best outcomes and helping to embed this approach across the teams and regions.
