Job summary

DGH Recruitment Limited is seeking an IT Programme Manager in the Birmingham area to oversee a portfolio of technology and transformation initiatives with a strong focus on AI programmes.

You will lead multiple projects end-to-end, manage governance, budgets, timelines and dependencies, and report to senior stakeholders while mentoring Project Managers and Business Analysts. A hybrid mindset and finance of delivery are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering complex IT projects as a Programme/Portfolio Manager.
• End-to-end delivery of AI and Agentic AI initiatives.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, application delivery and infrastructure change.
• Experience in Agile, Waterfall and hybrid delivery environments.
• Supplier and stakeholder management including outsourced providers.
• Leadership of permanent and contract professionals.
• Certifications: Prince2, APM Practitioner or equivalent.
• Experience in professional services environments would be advantageous.

Required Experience:

• Proven experience as a Programme Manager and/or Portfolio Manager delivering complex IT projects.

• Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, application delivery and infrastructure change.
• Experience working within Agile, Waterfall and hybrid delivery environments.
• Strong supplier and stakeholder management experience, including outsourced providers.
• Previous experience leading and managing teams of permanent and contract professionals.
• Prince2, APM Practitioner or equivalent certification.
• Previous experience within professional services environments would be advantageous.
