Job summary

Education Partnership North East is seeking a Lecturer and Programme Leader for Animal Management (Bede) in Sunderland. The role combines leadership with teaching, delivering high-quality learning and coordinating the Animal Care and Management provision to support student goals.

You will lead curriculum delivery, work with industry partners, monitor student progress, and contribute to departmental projects while developing your own professional practice in a dynamic FE environment.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Animal Care or related subject.
• Experience in animal care sector preferred.
• GCSE English and Maths at C/4 or above.
• Eligibility for Enhanced DBS check and safeguarding awareness.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and industry knowledge.
• Experience training, mentoring or teaching others.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching across Animal Care and Management.
• Lead and coordinate programme delivery and ensure compliance.
• Monitor student progress, attendance and wellbeing.
• Develop learning resources and maintain records.
• Collaborate with industry partners to enhance engagement.
• Contribute to curriculum development and recruitment activities.
