Addition Solutions in London is partnering with a leading organisation to appoint an experienced Programme Governance Manager. You will oversee programme governance, financial controls, risks and delivery across multiple agile teams.

You'll work with Programme Directors and senior leaders to provide visibility, plan investments, and ensure accountability and executive confidence across a major data transformation programme.

Competenze

• Experience in PMO, governance or portfolio management within large-scale technology or data transformation programmes.
• Strong understanding of agile delivery methodologies and governance frameworks.

Programme Governance Manager

Location: London

We're partnering with a leading organisation undergoing a significant enterprise-wide data transformation to appoint an experienced Programme Governance Manager.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially aware and delivery-focused governance professional to play a key role in overseeing programme controls, financial management and strategic planning across a complex technology transformation.

We're particularly interested in candidates with extensive PMO or portfolio management experience within large-scale technology or data transformation programmes, who can combine strong governance expertise with a proactive, agile approach to programme delivery.

The Opportunity

As Programme Governance Manager, you'll take responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective programme governance, planning, financial controls and reporting processes across multiple agile delivery teams.

Working closely with Programme Directors, senior technology leaders and cross-functional stakeholders, you'll play a pivotal role in providing clear visibility of programme performance, investment decisions, risks and delivery outcomes.

This is a high-impact role requiring someone who can balance strategic oversight with practical programme coordination, ensuring governance processes support efficient delivery while maintaining transparency, accountability and executive confidence.

Key Responsibilities

You will play a key role in driving effective programme governance by:

• Establishing and maintaining agile programme governance frameworks, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and delivery priorities.
• Coordinating programme steering committees, governance forums, quarterly planning workshops and executive business reviews.
• Managing programme-level risks, issues and dependencies, proactively identifying challenges and supporting timely resolution.
• Overseeing programme budgets, financial forecasts, expenditure tracking and investment reporting.
• Producing high-quality programme reports, executive presentations and governance updates for senior leadership.
• Maintaining programme roadmaps, monitoring delivery milestones and ensuring alignment across multiple squads and workstreams.
• Supporting resource and capacity planning, identifying constraints and risks that could impact programme delivery.
• Coordinating governance activities with third-party vendors and delivery partners, including contract and performance oversight.
• Driving continuous improvement across PMO processes, reporting standards and agile delivery practices.
• Supporting programme-wide planning, stakeholder engagement and decision-making through accurate, timely and actionable information.

About You

You will be an experienced Programme Governance or PMO professional with a strong background in complex technology transformation, excellent financial management capabilities and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.

You will also have:

• Significant experience in PMO, Programme Governance or Portfolio Management within large-scale technology or data transformation programmes.
• Strong understanding of agile and iterative delivery methodologies, with experience supporting complex delivery environments.
• Proven expertise in programme governance, strategic planning, reporting and executive communications.
• Experience managing programme budgets, financial forecasting, investment oversight and financial controls.
• Strong experience identifying, managing and escalating programme-level risks, issues and dependencies.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with confidence engaging senior technology and business leaders.
• Advanced PowerPoint skills, with the ability to produce clear, professional executive presentations and governance materials.
• Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• A proactive, delivery-focused approach with the ability to balance governance requirements and operational efficiency.

Desirable experience includes:

• Experience supporting Data, Analytics or Digital Transformation programmes.
• Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, SAFe or other scaled agile delivery frameworks.
• Familiarity with Databricks, Tableau or enterprise data platforms.
• Experience coordinating global, distributed or nearshore delivery teams.
• Understanding of portfolio management and value-based investment planning.
• Experience within retail, consumer goods or luxury sectors.
• Knowledge of Jira, Confluence and portfolio management tools.
