Career Opportunity: Programme Controls Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for a Programme Controls Manager in our Northern Region.

The main purpose of this role is to ensure project programmes are current, consistent, and accurate through regular interface with project site management and regional management teams.

Main duties include:

  1. Review project programmes monthly, ensuring changes are captured and recorded.
  2. Proficient use of planning software, preferably Microsoft Project and/or ASTA.
  3. Update programmes regularly to meet contractual requirements, As Built Records, and progress; review two-week look-ahead programmes.
  4. Review site records, contractual notices, and communication related to programme matters; ensure programme submissions are contractually compliant.
  5. Review Project Change register alongside works delivered and contracts.
  6. Review the Project Risk & Opportunities Register.
  7. Identify and facilitate entitlement not previously captured by the site team.
  8. Assist the site team in protecting programme entitlement and facilitating EOT claims.
  9. Provide advice on planning, programming, construction methods, and engineering solutions.
  10. Support strategic development of processes and systems with the Regional Manager/Director.
  11. Provide planning support to pre-contract tender teams, including solutions to engineering problems and bid planning.
  12. Mentor team members seeking career progression.

Candidate requirements:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project.
  • Good understanding of the NEC suite of Contracts.
  • Site experience involving planning and managing civil engineering projects such as environmental, water, and flood management.
  • Full UK driving license and eligibility to work in the UK.
