Job summary

Amazon UK Services Ltd. is seeking a Programme/Project Manager to coordinate apprenticeship and emerging talent initiatives across global regions, guiding each cohort from onboarding through assessment to permanent placement.

You will own workstreams, build clear documentation, drive cross-team discussions, and implement improvements that simplify operations. You’ll track progress with defined metrics and keep stakeholders aligned across countries and time zones.

Qualifications

• Experience in program or project management.
• Experience with Excel.
• Project management certification (e.g., APM, CSM, PMI-ACP, PRINCE2).
• A degree or equivalent in Project Management, Management, business administration, economics, or in a related field.

This is a 12-month fixed term contract. A successful candidate for this role has experience coordinating projects across multiple teams and thrives on bringing order to complexity. They take ownership of workstreams across the full apprenticeship journey: from hiring and onboarding, through assessment, to conversion into permanent roles — setting the plan, spotting blockers, and driving them to resolution. Comfortable across regions and time zones, they turn the different rules, funding, and assessment models of each country into one simple, consistent experience, and are motivated by work that genuinely changes people's careers.

Key job responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver apprenticeship and emerging talent projects across our global regions — including cohort onboarding, assessment scheduling and tracking, training enrolment, and recruitment coordination — with growing independence.
• Build and maintain clear project documentation and communications (plans, trackers, process maps, FAQs, progress reports) that keep everyone aligned.
• Drive productive discussions across partner teams and external providers, building consensus and securing what's needed to keep delivery moving.
• Identify and implement process improvements that make apprenticeship operations simpler and more consistent, working backward from apprentices and their managers.
• Track project health against clear measures of success — flagging risks early, resolving problems as they arise, and getting the right information to the right people at the right time.

A day in the life

No two days are the same. Much of your time goes on working through incoming queries and solving problems as they surface. You’ll run drop‑in sessions with apprentices and managers, write business reviews, and dive deep into data and reports to understand what’s driving performance. You’ll keep project plans and charters current as work moves forward. You’ll also contribute to focused working groups on specific topics — such as how people are onboarded or how future demand is planned — helping shape the way these programmes run across different countries.

Within Amazon University Talent Acquisition (AUTA), the centralised Apprentice Programme Team (APT) manages these programmes end-to-end globally — opening doors to Amazon careers for people who might never have had the chance, and giving them a brilliant experience from the day they apply to the day they move into a permanent role. It's a collaborative, fast-moving team where everyone owns their space but pulls together on shared goals. You'll be well supported, with room to grow over time.

Basic Qualifications
