Job Summary

• Take overall responsibility for the success of assigned Programmes and/or Product Families, ensuring they achieve their business objectives throughout the full product lifecycle.

• Lead multi-functional teams, coordinate activities of supporting staff, foster team ethic, and facilitate cooperation among all participants.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Programme and Activities Management

    • Manage programmes, identify and mitigate risks, and ensure successful outcomes.
    • Set clear, agreed objectives; identify, assess, record, and review risks.
  2. Sales Proposal and Technical Estimates Validation

    • Ensure understanding of proposals and estimates.
    • Raise questions for clarification or concern.
    • Prepare Business Cases with the sales team.
    • Obtain proper sign-off and documentation.
  3. Financial and Commercial Oversight

    • Monitor sales and profit; take remedial actions if needed.
    • Identify cost reduction and profitability improvement opportunities.
    • Highlight financial concerns.
  4. Programme Planning

    • Establish and communicate the programme plan with milestones and timescales.
    • Collaborate with all programme partners.
  5. Coordination of Support Functions and Partners

    • Ensure adequate support and resources.
    • Manage relationships and coordinate work with partners.
  6. Project Review Meetings

    • Organize and chair review meetings.
    • Record and ensure follow-up on actions.
  7. Communication of Progress

    • Provide regular updates to stakeholders and senior management.
  8. Contract Management

    • Establish comprehensive contracts with support from Contract Managers.
    • Review and update contracts as needed.
  9. Collaboration with Sales and Product Teams

    • Define and bid for new projects, maintain market knowledge.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or related field; advanced degree preferred. Or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in program or project management, preferably in aviation or aerospace.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies like Agile, Scrum, Waterfall.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Analytical, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in project management software (Microsoft Project, JIRA, Asana) and spreadsheets (Excel, Google Sheets).
