Job summary

IT Works Health LTD is seeking an experienced PMO Manager to support a large-scale NHS digital transformation programme. The role focuses on embedding governance, reporting, planning and programme controls across a complex portfolio of digital projects.

You will lead the PMO across the programme, develop governance and assurance processes, manage RAID logs, risks, issues and dependencies, and prepare executive updates for senior stakeholders, ensuring NHS governance standards are met.

Qualifications

• Experience leading PMO in large digital transformation programmes.
• Strong NHS governance knowledge and NHS Digital familiarity.
• Proven ability to develop governance, reporting and assurance processes.
• Experience with RAID, risks, issues, changes tracking.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Programme Management Office (PMO) function across a major digital transformation programme.
• Develop and maintain programme governance, reporting and assurance processes.
• Manage programme planning, RAID logs, risks, issues, dependencies and change control.
• Produce high-quality reports, dashboards and executive updates for senior stakeholders.
• Support programme delivery through effective resource planning and milestone tracking.
• Ensure compliance with NHS governance standards and programme management methodologies.
• Work closely with Programme Managers, Project Managers and senior clinical and operational stakeholders.
• Previous experience as a PMO Manager within the NHS.
• Strong understanding of NHS Digital, EPR or clinical systems programmes.
• Experience managing governance within large-scale transformation programmes.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of programme planning tools and reporting.
• Experience with RAID management, financial tracking and programme assurance.
• Electronic Patient Record (EPR) implementation.
