Job summary

Shield AI seeks a Finance Lead to drive financial performance for its Hivemind business unit. You will build models, analyze data, and partner with Engineering, Operations, and Product to deliver actionable financial intelligence that informs strategy and growth.

You will bring deep experience in financial modeling, operational finance, and data analysis, with IFRS/GAAP and government contracting understanding. Expect high visibility, collaboration, and impact across programs.

Qualifications

• Requires 8+ years in financial analysis, corporate finance, or FP&A.
• Experience in Aerospace & Defence industry or government contracting preferred.
• Strong understanding of financial statements and business metrics.
• Ability to lead a high-performing finance team and influence senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and enhance financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning.
• Analyze financial and operational data to generate actionable insights for senior leadership.
• Partner with Program Management and Engineering to support program financial health and workforce planning.
• Support Earned Value Management (EVM) or equivalent program performance frameworks.
• Collaborate with program managers to monitor actuals vs. plan and update EACs.
• Participate in month-end and quarter-end close, including variance analysis and executive reporting.
• Assist with financial planning cycles, business reviews, and investment decisions.
• Support data transformation initiatives with analytics or data engineering teams.
• Drive process improvements and automation in financial reporting and analysis.
• Ensure financial alignment of day-to-day operations with long-term goals.
