Wolviston Management Services Ltd is recruiting a Profile Burner for an established steel processing operation in Teesside. You will carry out precision cutting of steel plate using oxy-propane equipment, reading drawings and following production schedules to meet exact specifications.

The role is hands-on in a fast-paced environment, offering long-term prospects within heavy industry and opportunities to work with fabrication and quality teams while maintaining high safety standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Profile Burner in heavy steel or fabrication environments.
• Skilled with oxy-propane cutting equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience in high-volume, heavy industrial settings.
• Health and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Carry out oxy-propane profile burning of steel plate to required dimensions and tolerances
• Interpret engineering drawings, nesting plans and cutting schedules
• Set up and operate profile burning machinery and associated equipment
• Ensure all cuts meet quality standards, minimising waste and rework
• Perform visual inspections and basic quality checks on finished materials
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment
• Carry out routine equipment checks and report faults or maintenance requirements
• Work collaboratively with production, fabrication and quality teams
• Adhere strictly to all health, safety and environmental procedures
