The Module Lead will be responsible for the organisation, management and delivery of a designated module within the Moorfields Professional Qualifications portfolio, supporting the College of Optometrists Higher Qualifications. Responsibilities include curriculum development, teaching, assessment, feedback, student support and ensuring module content remains current and evidence based.
Accountable to the Professional Qualifications Section Lead and Head of Optometry Education, the post holder will ensure that the module aligns with the approved specification, intended learning outcomes, relevant ophthalmic frameworks and professional requirements. They will work closely with the Section Lead, administrators, other module leads and teaching faculty to ensure effective delivery and compliance with academic processes. The post holder will deliver teaching within their specialist area and retain overall responsibility for the quality and coordination of the module. Teaching duties must not be delegated to a third party without prior agreement.
