Professional Indemnity/Liability Claims Adjuster

A leading insurance company has an exciting new opportunity for a Professional Indemnity/Liability Claims Adjuster. The role involves handling a range of Professional Indemnity and General Liability (EL/PL) claims, from initial advice to settlement. Applicants should have prior experience in Professional Indemnity claims handling, and any Casualty/Liability claims experience will be advantageous.

A working knowledge of ECF will also be beneficial. Responsibilities include:

1. Verifying and settling claims related to Professional Indemnity and Liability.
2. Investigating and negotiating claims as required.
3. Positively influencing the handling and settlement of claims on both direct and reinsurance portfolios.
4. Checking case reserves and ensuring adequate provisions for outstanding liabilities.
5. Building and maintaining relationships with brokers, cedants, and clients.
6. Conducting client visits, audits, and due diligence where necessary.
7. Identifying and analyzing legal, political, and market developments.
8. Reporting these developments and their potential impacts to relevant stakeholders.
9. Building and maintaining a reputation as a technical expert and market leader on Casualty claims issues.
