Job Title: Professional Indemnity Lawyer

We are seeking a qualified Professional Indemnity Lawyer to join our in-house team in either our London or Manchester office. This role involves managing a portfolio of complex claims within our market-leading Claims team, specializing in Professional and Financial Lines claims.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage claims daily, including investigations, reserving, and assessing policy coverage and liability.
2. Provide legal guidance to insured clients, developing strategies for favorable outcomes.
3. Build and maintain relationships with clients, internal teams, and external vendors.
4. Negotiate settlements and ensure cost-effective vendor services.
5. Collaborate with underwriters, risk management, and actuarial teams to create solutions.
6. Partner with Client Relationship and Underwriting teams to strengthen customer relationships.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Experience handling Financial Lines, especially Solicitors professional negligence claims.
• Technical expertise with a record of managing key client accounts.
• Strong communication, strategic planning, and relationship-building skills.
• Legal Degree / LLB and qualified solicitor, barrister, or legal executive.
• Insurance-related experience preferred; ACII or equivalent certification is a plus.
