Job summary

Specialist Risk Group in London seeks an Account Advisor to join our growing Professional Indemnity business across wholesale and underwriting. You will support placement and administration, working closely with brokers, underwriters and clients to deepen understanding of risk assessment and underwriting processes.

The ideal candidate has experience in the insurance industry in relevant roles, strong customer service skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while building trusted

Qualifications

• Experience within the insurance industry in an Account Handler, Account Advisor, Assistant Underwriter, Broking or similar role.
• Experience in Professional Indemnity, or other specialist commercial insurance classes, ideally within the London Market (advantageous).
• Understanding of underwriting and risk assessment, with experience of working with brokers.
• Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build relationships with brokers, clients, insurers and professional advisers.

Responsibilities

• Support the administration and servicing of Professional Indemnity insurance business.
• Manage new business, renewals, endorsements and mid-term adjustments in line with service standards.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, clients and other professional advisers.
• Respond to broker and client enquiries with accurate policy information.
• Assist Underwriters with assessment and administration of specialist risks.
• Prepare quotations, underwriting documentation, policy records and client correspondence.
• Ensure policy documentation is issued accurately within agreed timescales.
• Maintain risk, client and policy information across internal systems.
• Support senior team members with larger or more complex cases.
• Liaise with underwriting, broking and operations teams to deliver excellent service during placement and renewal.
